Sailboats can actually be described as caravans of the seas. There are three cabins for two people, a kitchen, a refrigerator, a private shower-toilet for one, two or each cabin depending on the boat and a spacious saloon.
The deck of the boats is specially designed for comfortable sailing. Cockpit area, which allows two participants to sleep in the open air, can be called the area where the most time is spent together on the boat.
Breakfast and dinner can be prepared on the boat as there are all kinds of basic utilities and comfort inside. However, if desired, all meals can be eaten in the facilities in the bays.
Our boats have three cabins that accommodate six people, all kinds of kitchen equipment including oven and plates, shower and toilet.
This concept, which is indistinguishable from a caravan, is actually easier to adapt to, as it includes more minimal solutions of the facilities in our homes. Since 220 Volt electricity can only be provided from shore, charging phones or computers is only possible after receiving an electricity connection from a pier.
However, it is possible to meet this need at any time with 12 Volt small lighter charges. Since our routes are sometimes outside the coverage areas of telephone networks, communication may be interrupted sometimes.
In addition to the bag you usually prepare for a seaside holiday as you are used to, you should not forget the following for a sailboat holiday:
- Suntan cream
- Your Personal Medications
- A Pair of Sailing Gloves
- Light-colored Boat Shoes with Non-slip Rubber Soles
- Hat
- Tape for Tying Sunglasses
- Long Sleeve T-shirt and Slim Sports Trousers for Sun Protection
- Raincoat and Windbreaker (Especially for Spring and Winter)
- Slippers and Comfortable Sports Shoes
- Sleeping Bag (For Winter Season Only)
- Our life jackets as many as the number of participants in the tour, in accordance with the height and weight of each participant
- Our net stretched around the boat as a precaution for children if desired by our participants
- Our first aid book and bag
- Our hand-held radio and flares to communicate in an emergency
- Our life raft large enough to cover the number of people on board
can be counted as standard safety measures we take in each tour.
Since six people can sleep in the cabins and one or two people can sleep in the saloon;
-six participants in the courses
-seven or eight people in the holidays and excursions
can easily stay on the boat.
Our guests can sleep in the order they wish during their holiday journeys.
We provide a bed for everyone in the courses, but students who do not want to share a cabin can close the cabin for an extra fee. We can direct our guests to stay in a hostel or hotel for daily departure and return trainings from Marmaris.
Due to Covid-19 pandemic, we will not be offering shared cabins to our participants. However we will help in providing a bed for each pariticipant.
Our participants can have their meals on the boat or at the restaurant of a pier which we will moor to at the end of the day. If a common decision or opinion is stated on the first day briefing, the shopping to be made on the boat can also be shaped accordingly. The preferences are personal, you can prepare the dishes you want using the equipment on the boat, and those who want can eat in the restaurant. Since we are usually cruising, we usually prefer hearty meals that can be prepared quickly on the boat, such as pre-bought pancakes or sandwiches for lunch.
Of course!
In fact, we would love that you bring your children. Because this unique experience they will live in their younger years will add unique features to them in the future. We can draw a net around the boat for your little children on holidays and excursions. We also have small size life vests.
In the learning programs, it is up to you whether your child is capable of participating in the trainings, without forgetting that our other trainees are also on board for training. It should be kept in mind that children younger than 12 years old may have difficulties due to both physical and cognitive development levels.
Of course!
Perhaps this experience will help you meet the sea or make peace with it. We will be doing our best to make you love sailing, starting from the basics.
Sea sickness is a rare condition that can happen to anyone, anytime on the sea. If you have experienced seasickness before, which is caused by the inability of our balance centers to be tolerated by the body, it is always a good idea to eat lightly, avoid fatty foods and alcoholic beverages before boarding the boat.
You can also be prepared in advance by taking various food tablets and ginger. In time, the body will accustom itself to seasickness, but if this complaint starts during the cruise, keeping our guest in a position to see the horizon in the fresh air will prevent the proliferation of symptoms.
There are some medications that can help diminishing the symptoms of seasickness which you can easily ask your pharmacists.
The most important expense items are food and drinks on board. For this amount, which can be shaped according to whether you want to eat on the boat or in the restaurant during a weekly course or excursion, this cost may vary according to everyone. Since other expenses stated on our course and travel pages may vary according to the trips, you can have a look at the details of the program of interest. In all programs, your captain and your guide, if any, will be your guests at meals.
